A fine water or premium brand doesn't just sell water; it sells a story. This story should reflect the source and character of the water, establishing the brand's unique position in the premium category. There is no "best" water, only the best story for your brand.
Understanding water is crucial to developing a brand's story, character, and position.
The Brand Manager Certification provides the knowledge to make informed decisions in the premium category. The course has two parts: the first covers essential knowledge and foundations, while the second is customized to the candidate's specific brand, with assignments to apply the knowledge to an existing or planned premium brand.
Over the past 20 years, Michael has helped create iconic brands. This course offers a unique opportunity for busy brand managers to gain current insights into trends in the premium category.
If you create a new brand or use words like “pure” in your brand communication, this course is for you!

The Fine Water ACADEMY has evolved as we have learned much over the last six years working with hundreds of sommelier candidates, HORECA professionals, consumers, and enthusiasts. Video lessons, online tests, and assignments were well received and highly didactical. The idea that you can conduct courses that include tastings online was new in 2018, but we established its possibility and allowed it to be successfully integrated into the curriculum. It worked
I have taken what was learned and decided to make the Fine Water ACADEMY 2.0 a Hybrid Instructional Course with significantly expanded face-to-face time (via Zoom) between instructor and candidates for the Certified Water Sommelier Course. This will happen during the course's FOUNDATION and ADVANCED levels and the final CERTIFICATION session. It will allow the instructional content to be customized to the candidates' experiences and educational goals for the course. I know this is a winning formula, and I have been restructuring the curriculum for the new hybrid model.
Right now, the Fine Water Academy offers the Certified Water Sommelier Course and an Essential Water Knowledge Course designed for all professionals working with water in any form who want to stay current with emerging trends and paradigm shifts in the perception of water. In September, we will launch a Brand Manager Certification Course. If you want to make your brand current after the paradigm shift or use the word "pure" in your brand communication, this course is for you!
